Primary Schools Get Debating
We invited 4 primary schools to our second annual primary school debating competition. Higham, St Botolphs, Shears Green and Holy Trinity
Holy Trinity were the winners last year and eager to defend their title, unfortunately they had to pull out the night before the competition so we had to amend the format slightly. There were 9 preliminary debates where each competitor competed in 2 debates each, at the end of these debates the person with the lowest points was eliminated. It was then a straight knockout competition.
The final was between Shears Green and St Botolphs with Shears Green winning by a whisker. The trophy was awarded by Mr Jack Howe, Deputy Head of NTC.
The event was covered by the Gravesend Messenger.
