Niamh Forrest - Secondary
Niamh is an Assistant Head teacher at Northfleet Technology College. Whilst in the past she has been a leader of various subject areas and the KS3 curriculum, Niamh is currently the Raising Standards Leader. This involves leading teams of colleagues who are responsible for measuring progress on the one hand whilst the other ensures that strategies are put in place to enable individuals to achieve. Niamh is also the leader of science and humanities teams; developing a team ethos, driving forward teaching and learning standards, and raising attainment. Moving forward has involved offering support, developing resources and working with local colleagues as well as providing courses to suit differentiated student needs and assessment processes in each key stage. She coaches staff to drive forward improvement and personalises the curriculum to improve results. Niamh’s current work also includes supporting the professional development of staff using action research and improving impact analysis systems for self-evaluation.
Jacey Sims - Science
Jacey is a highly experienced Science specialist. She has led Science teams for more than twenty years. She has raised standards and developed high performing teams of staff in Comprehensive, Grammar, single sex and mixed schools .She has successfully held leadership positions including Headship, and Associate Headship in schools in challenging circumstances. She is currently Science Consultant for a chain of Academies regularly carrying out base line visits to schools seeking to improve from Ofsted category. She works with the Heads of Science, their teams and school leadership to improve science teaching and learning. She has co-ordinated the DASCo group of Heads of Science in the Dartford area, and currently teaches Physics at Tonbridge Grammar School.
